[Resolved] fracomms02 Network Issues

We are currently investigating a network-related issue with our fracomms02 machine causing all services on it to be unavailable or otherwise inaccessible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working to return everything to full service as quickly as possible.

torcomms01 - Network Issues

We are aware that our machine torcomms01 is currently having network issues. We suspect it to be a DDoS attack. We are investigating the problem and hope to have a solution soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing, and thank you for your patience.

Australian DDoS

We are aware of some network issues with services in Australia at the moment; we believe this to be the results of a large DDoS attack.

We are working with the provider to mitigate this attack as best we can.

TF2 Update Issues

We are aware that many servers are still reporting as out of date. Valve has released a second and what appears to be third minor update which fixes several additional issues. We are working to deploy these as quickly as possible.

[Complete] Mandatory TF2 Update

The latest TF2 build has now been distributed to all machines.

Patch notes are below:

Source Engine Changes
- Fixed server CPU spikes caused by compression of string tables and packets.
- Added sv_netspike, sv_netspike_sendtime_ms, and sv_netspike_output convars for investigating server performance
- net_compresspackets_minsize default value increased to 1024.  This convar now also determines the threshold to determine when a "fragment" (logical game network message, before being broken up into network packets) is compressed.
- Added vprof_vtrace and vprof_report_oninterval convars, and tweaked vprof_dump_spikes and vprof_dump_oninterval to reduce output

Team Fortress 2
- Added the Robotic Boogaloo community update: http://www.teamfortress.com/roboticboogaloo/
- Fixed a chat exploit that would cause other clients to timeout from dedicated servers
- Updated the Mann Co. Store
   - Added RoboCrate Keys
   - Added A Random RoboKey Gift
   - Added Pile of RoboKey Gifts
   - Backpack Expanders on sale at 80% off
- Updated the localization files

[Resolved] torcomms01 - Network Issues

We are aware of some intermittent issues with our machine torcomms01. There could be lag, disconnections, or just general instability as a result of the network issues. We are working as quickly as we can to identify and fix the problem, and we do apologize for any inconvenience this is causing.

Battlefield Heroes has now been updated to version 1.109.248145.0.

[Bug fix]: Fixed the issue where players get stuck in map loading

[Bug fix]: Changed the EoR delay to 15s

[Bug fix]: Whitelisting the RCON command setClassLimit (and getClassLimit)

[Bug fix]: Fixed animation issue where the XP progress bar started a zero XP

[Bug fix]: Fixed a client crash using the refresh button on hero change list

laxcomms01 - DDoS attack

The machine laxcomms01 is currently under a DDoS attack, we are now working to mitigate the attack, this attack is causing servers to become unresponsive and unconnectable.
