We are aware of some network issues with services in Australia at the moment; we believe this to be the results of a large DDoS attack. We are working with the provider to mitigate this attack as best we can. Please bear with us as we restore the services to normal. We are aware that many servers are still reporting as out of date. Valve has released a second and what appears to be third minor update which fixes several additional issues. We are working to deploy these as quickly as possible.

[Complete] Mandatory TF2 Update

The latest TF2 build has now been distributed to all machines. Patch notes are below: Source Engine Changes - Fixed server CPU spikes caused by compression of string tables and packets. - Added sv_netspike, sv_netspike_sendtime_ms, and sv_netspike_output convars for investigating server performance - net_compresspackets_minsize default value increased to 1024. This convar now also determines the threshold to determine when a "fragment" (logical game network message, before being broken up into network packets) is compressed. - Added vprof_vtrace and vprof_report_oninterval convars, and tweaked vprof_dump_spikes and vprof_dump_oninterval to reduce output Team Fortress 2 - Added the Robotic Boogaloo community update: http://www.teamfortress.com/roboticboogaloo/ - Fixed a chat exploit that would cause other clients to timeout from dedicated servers - Updated the Mann Co. We are aware of some intermittent issues with our machine torcomms01. There could be lag, disconnections, or just general instability as a result of the network issues. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with a hard drive on stls4. Our engineers are looking at this now and we will post updates as soon as we get them. Apologies for any inconvenience. UPDATE @ 15:07 BST - "If an SSD fails in a server, does it make a sound?!" Unfortunately the SSD in this machine has failed. Our engineers are working on replacing this disk as soon as possible. Machine maintenance - ny25

We will be performing maintenance on the machine ny25 on Friday the 17th at 9:00 AM EST to correct a hardware fault with the machine. Maintenance will last approximately an hour and during this time all servers on the machine will be unavailable.
